Concrete Patios

A lot of companies these days love to talk about how they are selling experiences, and not necessarily the actual service or product that they sell. We are not going to go as far as to say that we sell experiences. When it comes to building patios though, we do like to create areas with what you want to do in those spots in mind. Here’s what we mean by that. A lot of great neighborhoods here in Marietta have very basic patio designs applied to homes. Did they take into account that maybe you need to add a long table in the area to accommodate your whole family? You may want to eat outdoors without the kids having to sit on the grass.

Creating Unique Patio Designs

What we talked about in the previous paragraph is just one of many examples. In which, you can quickly realize that maybe the patio that you currently have was never designed with your particular needs in mind. That’s why we want to help you create an area that matches your needs. More often than not you may need to think about what you want to be doing in these spots when we are essentially drawing up the design of the surface.

Concrete Just Makes More Sense

When it comes to patios, concrete is virtually the number one option that people gravitate towards. There are quite a few reasons for that. Durability is certainly one of the aspects that people look for in these types of surfaces. That’s not the full picture though. Virtually any other type of surface, unless it’s literally grass is going to be rougher than concrete. Using wood chips or just mulch in general for outdoor areas can certainly look great. Actually having to walk through the surface can become a problem though. Concrete is just more practical across the board.

Choosing The Right Concrete Finish

What you may also want to take some time to think about is the concrete finish that you want to apply to the area. Yes you can go with the traditional gray smooth concrete surface. That’s a lot of times what we initially find in homes anyway. We just want to make sure that you know that there are other options to look into. You can add a stamped concrete finish to literally change the entire look and feel of the surface. Even through a stained concrete finish you can get some amazing results.

Adapting To The Entire Area

At times when we get a chance to work on concrete patios there’s already a pool about 15 feet away, and there’s a lawn to account for, maybe a rose garden or another fixture. As part of our design process we are literally going to ask what you want to keep to make sure that we know how large of an area we are going to be working with. In a sense this is the first thing that we need to figure out to be able to create a design that does fit the amount of space that we have to work with.
